Liechtenstein - Lauterbrunnen(Switzerland)

Another day, another gorgeous mountain view.....

This morning we said goodbye to Liechtenstein and took the long. windy road back down to the Rhine river where Liechtenstein borders Switzerland.

Heading down the hill in Liechtenstein. The Rhine river below is the border between Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

Crossing back in Switzerland....about the 6th time in 2 days!

We drove on....through beautiful farming country and then stopping off in the lovely town of Lucern.

Cows with bells....everytime we drive past some we have to wind down our windows to hear the bells ringing....

The famous (and beautiful) Chapel bridge in Lucern...first built in the 14th century.

Crossing the bridge

The bridge and tower

Neve is just about to lose her top middle tooth (her 3rd baby tooth)....Shane was hoping it would come out in Liechtenstein because she would possibly be the only Australian kid to ever lose a tooth in Liechtenstein....but alas it is still hanging on by a corner!!

After lunch in Lucern, we headed deeper into the Swiss alps, past gorgeous green/blue lakes and closer towards the snow that the girls are so keen to see....

Gorgeous greenery

The big alps ahead of us....

We got to our destination at the foot of the alps....at a small village called Lauterbrunnen. We are here for a week in a chalet in the middle of a huge valley...with a dozen waterfalls all around us and views of the snow capped mountains all around......fabulous!

So for the next week we are exploring the alps....not bad at all.
Our chalet. Home for the next week.

The view from our bedroom window, complete with tiny stream running past

The view from the balcony....it is pretty hard to take.....honestly.....really......
